VINEYARD MEDICAL CARE
WELCOMES YOU
DIRECT PRIMARY CARE
DPC involves patients paying a monthly subscription fee to the practice. In return they get to be a part of a smaller patient panel and thus have more access to the physician. They usually can text, email or call the practice and rarely have to wait for an appointment. They also get longer visits and generally have a very high satisfaction with the DPC arrangement and the clinic.
Direct primary care (DPC) is based on the idea that better care can be delivered much more affordably by separating primary care from traditional insurance.
When the clinic can focus only on the patient concerns and not juggle insurance demands and ways of practicing medicine; the patient and physician can decide the best plan of action. There is more time for the physician and staff to address patient concerns and manage the care process. Instead of the traditional 8 minute office visit, you can spend 30 to 60 minutes with your provider. The result is increased patient satisfaction, cost savings and improved clinical outcomes.
Imagine if we insured our house or car the way we insure ourselves. You don't charge the little and variable expenses to insurance. We pay for those out of our own pocket. Save the big expenses for insurance. Applying every small charge to insurance would inflate the cost of owning a house or a car to unreasonably high levels.
Apply this idea to your health care: the small " expenses" are like primary care. You need insurance for the big things- like major surgeries, accidents or serious injuries. We encourage patients to have some form of insurance coverage for the big expenses, like major medical plan coverage.
Routine labs, Immunizations, pap smears, counseling about chronic illness… can be obtained significantly cheaper with
DPC than billing through insurance. No more co-pays or meeting your deductible. No more unforeseen bills after the visit. Lab fees, procedures, vaccine and shots fees are presented upfront, at and discounted rate from traditional insurance, and payed at the time of the visit.
Patients can check with their Health savings Account administrator (Pretax) to pay DPC fees and costs.
DPC Healthcare not only represents a welcome return to this highly personalized approach to primary care; it also incorporates today’s technologies, therapies, and wellness strategies to keep you connected, informed, and inspired to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
